TRUE Mexican tortillas

3 cups water
1 / 2 tsp. Baking powder
1 1 / 2 tablespoons vegetable oil or lard
2 pounds flour
1 teaspoon salt

Heat the water, yeast, vegetable oil or lard and salt until warm, but not too hot, just warm enough that you can touch the water and not burn.
In a large bowl, pour the mixture of water and a little flour, little by little until they're done with the remaining flour. Make sure you water and flour mixture mixing well together. They should have a smooth and elastic dough. Do not use a machine to mix the dough (with hands).

After mixing the ingredients, cover the dough and refrigerate for 15 minutes. (This makes the dough easier to work).

Then take the dough and the hot plate until the heat or if it does not just use a frying pan. An iron pan well.

As the bread heats up, roll the tortillas. Sprinkle flour on the surface, so that the tortilla does not STICk.

After they have done, start cooking. Once done, keep warm in the paper, or, as in Mexico, with a soft towel.

Good luck with this recipe. This will show if you have a little bit of Mexico that
